BITSAT 2021: Application Form, Exam Dates, Eligibility, Pattern and Syllabus

Applications are invited for computerized online test BITSAT(Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test) for admission to first degree programme in Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad campuses of Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS).

BITSAT 2021:Eligibility

The applicants should have passed Plus two with 75% of total marks in Physics, Chemistry and Maths and should have scored a minimum of 60% in each of these subjects. The students appearing for the Plus two exam in 2021 also can apply. 

For B.Pharm , it would be preferable to have Biology as subject of study instead of Maths whereas the applicants with Maths as subject of study would also be considered. 

The students studying in any of the campuses of BITS, need not apply. 

BITSAT 2021: Admission Criteria

Admission will be strictly based on the performance in BITSAT 2021. The first rank holders in the central/state govt board exam in 2021, would get the privilege of getting admission to the course of their choice, not considering their BITSAT score. But their Plus two eligibility score is must.

Joint Entrance Examination (Main) - 2021 FEB Session NTA Score Paper-I (B.E./B.Tech.)
JEE Main is the eligibility test for admission to under graduate Engineering programmes, B.E/B.Tech at NITs, IITs, other centrally funded technical institutions as well as eligibility test for JEE (Advanced) for admission to IITs. JEE Main is conducted each month from February to May giving fair opportunity and greater flexibility. Online applications for this can be submitted till 6th March 2021 through online, 

The fee can be paid online till 6th of March 2021. The fee can be paid together for the four sessions of engineering. The applicants will get one confirmation page for it. There is a privilege that, within the stipulated time, it can be withdrawn from the session for which fee was paid and it would be refunded. Also, if the fee paid for a particular session in which the candidate not able to appear, the fee amount will be carried over for the next session in that case. 

The first session of the exam will be from February 23rd to 26, second session from March 15 to 18, third session from April 27to 30 and the forth session from May 24th to 28th. After the declaration of results of the first three sessions, application window will be opened for applying for the next session. 

Eligibility Criteria: 

Plus two or Diploma recognized by AICTE or a state board of technical education or equivalent qualification of other such boards. Those who have passed Plus two in 2019 or 2020 and appearing in 2021 are also eligible to apply. The applicants must have studied 5 subjects in the qualifying exam. 

For Engineering applicants, Physics and Maths are compulsory at the Plus two level and the third science subject can be Chemistry/Bio Technology/Biology /Technical, Vocational subjects. 
For B.Arch, the subjects - Maths, Physics and Chemistry are mandatory. 
Maths is must for B.Planning.

Medium of Question Paper: 

This year, apart from English, Hindi and Malayalam, the question will be available in 11 regional languages. 

Scheme & Mode of Test: 

It will be of objective type. For JEE, there are two papers. 
Paper 1 is for admission to under graduate Engineering programmes like B.E/B.Tech at NITs, IITs, other centrally funded technical institutions and to find the suitable candidates who can get through JEE advance, the admission test for Indian Institute of Technology (IIT). 

Paper 2 is for admission to B.Arch and B.Planning courses in the country. Paper 1 (B.E/ B.Tech), 
Paper 2A - Maths (Part1), Aptitude test (Part 2), 
Paper 2B (B.Planning) will be computer based test (CBT) where as Part3 of Paper 2A, ‘Drawing’ will be offline. 

For each right answer of Multiple choice questions and Numerical value questions, 4 marks will be awarded. For each wrong answer except that of Numerical value question, one mark will be deducted. There would be 30 questions for each subject – Physics, Chemistry and Maths. Of this, the students must attend at least 20 multiple choice questions and five, out of the 10 Numerical value question. It is for the first time that JEE Main offering choices in the questions. 

In Paper 2B, Part 1, Maths, it is mandatory to attend all 20 multiple choice questions but only 5 questions need to be answered in Numerical value question. There are 50 multiple choice questions in part 2. The test will be of 3 hour duration. 

Exam centres are there in all districts in Kerala. It should be remembered that the applicants should use their own mail id and mobile number while submitting application and note the application number which is system generated. The candidates can download their admit card from the NTA website. Also there is a provision of mock test through ‘National Test Abhyas’ mobile app under NTA’s purview. National Aptitude Test in Architecture(NATA)

National Aptitude Test in Architecture, 2021(NATA-2021) for admission into B.Arch. Degree course for the academic session 2021-22 shall be conducted by the Council of Architecture (CoA) as one-day online examination all over the country. 

The purpose of conducting NATA is to provide a single scheme of examination for holding aptitude test and to facilitate prospective students all over the country to apply for admissions in architecture seats in institutions spread across the country and to avoid appearing in multiple aptitude tests. 

NATA measures the aptitude of the applicant for specific field of study, i.e. Architecture. The test makes an assessment of drawing and observation skills, sense of proportion, aesthetic sensitivity, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and critical thinking ability that have been acquired over a long period of time and are related to the specific field of study.

Schedule of Examination: 

NATA will be held twice a year. The first test will be held on 10.04.2021(Saturday) and the second test on 12.06.2021(Saturday).  Students can register for first test or second test or both. The last date for application(first test) is 28.03.2021. For second test , registration can be done till 30.05.2021

There is no negative marking, but wrong answering will be penalized in case of tie breaking.

Eligibility Criteria for Candidates:

Passed 10+2 examination with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and also 50% marks in aggregate at 10+2 level examination (Candidates appearing the 10+2 exam with Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics subjects in the current academic year may also provisionally appear in the NATA exam).

Application Procedure:

Application has to be filled up ONLINE at the NATA portal.

Application Fee Details:

A candidate applying for NATA– 2021 has to pay Rs.2000 as application fee, through ONLINE mode.For SC/ST students the application fee is 1500.

Result Format:

Qualifying marks for NATA-2021 would be based on the following rules:
1. At least 25% must be secured in Multiple Choice Questions(Part A) portion (32 out of 120)
2. At least 25% must be secured in Part B (18 out of 75)
3. Overall qualifying marks (out of 200) would be based on post-exam statistics and at the discretion of the Council.
Candidate will not qualify in NATA-2021 unless (s)he satisfies all three conditions mentioned above. NATA-2021 score shall be valid only for admission in the session 2021-22.

KEAM 2020 Admit Card Released; Check How to Download

The admit cards for the KEAM(Kerala Engineering/Pharmacy Entrance Exam) to be conducted in various centres of the state as well as in Mumbai, New Delhi and Dubai on 16th of July 2020 are ready to be downloaded. The candidates can download the admit cards from the KEAM 2020 Candidate portal given in the State Entrance Exam Commissioner’s website, from 7th July 2020. Colour printouts of the admit cards are desirable as it would be easy for identity verification. 

How to Download KEAM 2020 Admit Card

The candidates should log in to the portal by entering their application number, password and access code. Then a profile page would be displayed. Click the menu ‘Admit Card’ there to download.

If there is any discrepancy in the photograph and signature uploaded at the time of online submission of application or fee not completely paid, such candidates will not be able to download their admit cards. In that case, the candidates are advised to visit their profile and click ‘Menu details’ to know the details of the discrepancies found in their application. 

It can be rectified and submitted again through the link on or before 2 p.m of 9th July 2020 to get their admit cards.For the fee pending problem, the complete fee or Dubai centre fee, whichever is applicable, should be paid to download admit card. 

For candidates whose application number is forgotten, facility is provided to get back their application number by entering their name and mobile number in the link - ‘Forgot application number’ in the Candidate portal of the website.

Degree Courses in Agriculture and Allied Subjects(AIEEA)

Indian council of Agricultural Research(ICAR) invites Online application for All India Entrance Examination AIEEA(UG) 2020-21 for Admission to Degree Courses in Agriculture and Allied Subjects at Agricultural universities for 2020-21 academic year. The applications will be submitted through ONLINE mode only. Last date for filling of online application is 31st March 2020. AIEEA(UG) 2020-21 entrance examination  will be conducted on 1st June 2020.

Courses Offered

The courses offered for Bachelor degree programmes of four years duration and its eligibility are given in the following table. The candidates must have obtained not less than 50% marks in aggregate in 10+2 examination or equivalent in Physics, Chemistry, Maths OR Physics, Chemistry, Biology OR Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Biology OR Physics, Chemistry, Agriculture or Physics, Chemistry, Forestry subject combinations.
The choice of degree programmes for admission need not be given in the online application. Choice will be available at the time of online counseling based on availability of seats and rank of the candidate in AIEEA Entrance examination.

Scheme of Entrance Examination

There will be a 2.30hr Computer Based Test(CBT) comprising of five subjects Physics, Chemistry, mathematics,Biology and Agriculture. Out of the five subjects candidate has to attempt only three subjects depending on the choice and eligibility.

Question paper have 50 multiple choice questions for each subject each with four options. 4 marks for each correct response and -1 for each incorrect response. Syllabus for the entrance examination is given below.

Kerala Entrance Examination(KEAM)

Applications are invited for admission to Engineering, Architecture/Pharmacy/Medical related courses in various professional colleges in the state. Students can apply for different engineering courses in Kerala Agriculture University, Kerala Veterinary and Animal Science University, Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies and B.arch apart from MBBS, BDS, BHMS (Unani), B.Pharm, B.Sc(Hon’s) and Agriculture courses.

KEAM 2021-Online Application

The eligible candidates willing to apply for above said courses should apply online from 01-02-2020 to 25-02-2020 through, the website of the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations. No hard copies of the application or documents need to be sent to the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations.

KEAM 2021-Time Schedule

The state Entrance Exam of 2021(KEAM 2021) will be held in various centres on 20th and 21st of April 2020.

KEAM 2021 Exam Pattern

The entrance examination is conducted by the State Entrance Exam for admission to engineering courses only. For B.Pharm admission, the students must appear for Paper 1 (Physics and Chemistry) of Engineering Entrance Exam and qualify it. There is no separate entrance exam for admission to B.Arch courses and Medical/other related courses. It is mandatory for the students to appear for National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted at the national level by Council of Architecture (COA) and should become eligible before 01.06.2020. The scores obtained in NATA and the qualifying exam would be equally considered for the preparation of the rank list.  The students willing to get admission to courses related to Medicine, should get through the National eligibility cum entrance test (NEET – UG) 2021 conducted at the national level.

KEAM 2021 Application Fee

There is no fee for ST category. Application fee can be remitted either online or in all head/sub post offices in Kerala by using e-chalan which would be made available at the time of submission of application. Fee can also be paid by using e-chalan in the selected brances of SBT. Candidates of Dubai exam centre have to pay Rs.12,000/- more by online or e-chalan apart from application fee.
