Joint Entrance Exam(JEE) Application, Syllabus and Guidelines

Of the two JEE-Joint Entrance Exams Main of 2019 conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), the first one will be conducted in the month of January 2019. The candidates can submit their application online from 1st to 30th of September 2018. This exam is conducted mainly for admission to B.E/B.Tech,B.Arch/B.Planning courses in National Institute of Technology (NIT) , Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) and Technical institutions run by Central Govt aid.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for admission is that the students should have obtained 75% of marks in Higher Secondary Board examination (65% for SC & ST category ) or the cut off score of topmost 20% . Also, the candidates should have studied certain subjects in the qualifying exam. Chemistry / Bio Technology / Biology / Technical Vocational Subjects along with Mathematics and Physics at the Plus Two level is compulsory for admission to B.E / B.Tech courses and Mathematics for B.Arch / B.Planning courses.

There are two papers for examination. paper 1 is for admission to B.E / B.Tech courses and Paper 2 is for those aspiring to do B.Arch / B.Planning courses.

B.E/B.TECH: Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subject.

B.ARCH./B.PLANNING: Passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics.

Application Fee

The General / OBC category applicants writing any one of the exams in the centres chosen by them in India, should pay Rs.500/- and SC & ST category and female candidates need pay only Rs.250/- towards application fee. To appear for both the papers, the fee to paid is Rs.1300/ 650 respectively.

The second exam of JEE Main 2019 will be held in the month of April. Applications can be submitted from February 8th 2019. One can appear for any one of the exams or both. In the case of the students appearing for both the exams, the better of the two scores that they obtain will be considered for admission.

Applications can be submitted only through online. Those willing to attend the interview should qualify the main exam too. The JEE main rank will be considered for admission in IISER, IISC, IIST and scholarships for Higher Education.

    1. no there is no KEAM this year..the KEAM will be conducted next year and the registration will start from 4th week of FEB!

  2. Dear Sirs,
    Regarding combined mark sheet, for those who failed for one subject in 2017 March and 2017 SAY exam, but passed (score 57 after improving 1st year) will get another mark list for the failed subject again for the 2018 March exam. So in total he will have Mark list of 2017 March + Mark list of first year improvement + another one yet to come after declaring the 2018 Second year results.
    Does he get a combined marklist including all the marks in one sheet? OR he have to keep Marklist 2017 March and Marklist of 2018 March to prove he is eligible for higher studies? If he get a combined mark sheet what is the procedure for that? How long it will take to issue such single marklist? Whom to approach for this ? Hope you understand my querry, if not clear pls send a comment here and If you are comfrtable with my querry please give a reply here and this will help many student. Thanks

  5. EE Main 2019 Exam Dates – NTA has announced the exam dates for JEE Main 2019. The exam will be held from January 6 to 20, 2019 while it will be held again from April 6 to 20, 2019. Candidates can appear for either one exam or both the exams. Regular students (ongoing) can also apply.
