What is Aadhaar Seeding or Aadhaar Mapping?

To avail of the e-grantz scholarship of the SC and ST department, Aadhar seeding in the bank account of the student is mandatory. It is believed that Aadhar seeding is linking the bank account with Aadhaar number. But, the Aadhar seeding and Aadhar linking are two different processes. 

Due to lack of knowledge of aadhar seeding or aadhar mapping, it is found that many students as well as the teachers are contacting the department. The details regarding the Aadhar seeding or Aadhar mapping given here maybe helpful for the students for getting the scholarship. 

Nowadays the scholarship amount is distributed to the students through DBT(Direct Benefit Transfer) and thereby ensure the smooth and proper finance distribution. 

What is Aadhar Seeding/Mapping?

Aadhar seeding is the process of updating the payment account details of the beneficiary for the transaction of the scholarship amount or subsidy amount extra, in the data Bank of National Payment Corporation of India, National Automated Clearing House etc. 

The beneficiaries should contact the bank branches with the necessary details or documents for aadhar seeding. It is to be remembered that the aadhar seeding or aadhar mapping completed bank accounts only can be uploaded in the e- grantz.
