Applications are invited for Common Entrance Test(CUET) for admission to various degree courses in 45 Central Universities all over the country from 9th February 2023. The applications will be accepted till 11th of April 2023.

Common University Entrance Test CUET(UG)-2023

CUET will provide a single window opportunity to students to seek admission in any of the Central Universities (CUs) across the country. Candidates who wish to appear for CUET (UG) - 2023 are advised to go through the required eligibility for the desired university for selecting the options from UG Programmes being offered.

The computer based CUET test will be conducted in 3 phases. Apart from Malayalam, there would be 12 other languages for the entrance test. 

The Structure of the CUET 2023 Exam

Section 1 A 

The applicant can select anyone of the thirteen languages. 40 questions out of 50 should be answered. A given passage or the part should be read thoroughly to answer the question. The duration of this test is 45 minutes

Section 1 B 

Other languages apart from those given in section 1 A, like Italian, Spanish languages are in this section. It also includes Kashmiri, Manipuri etc. Duration of the test is similar to that of Section 1A. 

Section 2 

This is exclusively for the degree course of study consisting of 27 subjects. One can select upto 6. Here 40 out of 50 questions be answered. The 45 minutes duration test will be based on NCERT syllabus of class 12 course. 

Section 3 

It is a common test of multiple choice type. 60 of the 70 questions be answered. It is to test the General knowledge, General Mental Ability, Numerical ability, Reasoning,Analytical reasoning etc. It is of 60 minutes duration. It is applicable to the course and institutions where the admission is based on the common admission test.

CUET 2023 Syllabus 

All questions in the various testing areas will be bench marked at the level of Class XII. Students who have studied the Class XII NCERT syllabus will be able to do well in CUET (UG)-2023. 

Schedule of CUET Examination 2023

CUET 2023 examination will be conducted for a few days in two different sessions, beginning from May 21st, 2023. The duration of the exam and its language/tests will depend on the number of candidates taking it. Candidates are advised to visit the NTA CUET (UG)-2023 official website https://cuet.samarth.ac.in/ for latest updates regarding the examination.
