NIFT Admission and Entrance Exam

National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) a topmost institute in the country, giving scientific training in Fashion designing field, invites applications for various courses:-

Bachelor of Design (Fashion/leather/Textile/Knit wear/Accessory design: Fashion Communication)

Course duration is 4 years. Plus two or minimum 3 year Diploma course recognized by AICTE is the eligibility for doing this course.

Bachelor of Fashion Technology in Apparel Production ( B.F.Tech)

It is a 4 years duration course. Eligibility is Plus two course with Maths, Physics and Chemistry subjects or minimum 3 year Diploma course recognized by AICTE.

Master of Design ( M.Dis)

The duration of this course is 2 years. Applicants willing to do this course must have passed degree or 3 year Diploma course from NID or NIFT.

Master of Fashion Management ( M.F.M) 

The course period is 2 years. Degree or minimum 3 year Diploma course from NIFT or NID is the eligibility.

Master of Fashion Technology ( M.F.Tech) 

It is a 2 year duration course. NIFT B.Tech or any B.Tech course completed students can apply for this.

NIFT Entrance Exam 2021

The entrance test for all programmes will be held on 14th of February 2021 in 32 centres including Kochi, Kannoor, Coimbatore etc. The Bachelors’ Degree programmes will have situation tests only whereas group discussions and interviews will be conducted for PG programmes. TISS Bachelor's Admission Test (TISS-BAT)

The entrance exam (TIS BAT) of Tata Institute of Social Sciences for admission to B A degree courses in Social Sciences will be conducted on 25th April 2020. It would be a computer based test. It is an admission test for off campus BA degree programmes in Social Sciences of TIS in Guwahati (Assam),  Duljapur (Maharashtra) and BA (Honors) Social Work (specilization in rural development) in Duljapur. 

The applicants should have passed plus two or intermediate exam in any stream. Those who appear for the qualifying exam are also eligible to apply. The exam will be of 2 parts of 90 mts duration in total. The first part will have 60 mts duration and multiple choice questions for 60 marks from Current Affairs, Logical and Analytical reasoning etc. The second part would comprise of two descriptive type questions and be answered in English for 40 marks in 30 mts. To qualify the exam, the candidates should score a minimum of 40 marks in each part.

Humanities and Social Science Admission in IIT Madras(HSEE)

Indian institute of Technology, Madras, one of the premier institutes in education and research with placement opportunities is to begin its admission procedure for its 5 year integrated programme, Master of Arts in Development Studies and Master of Arts in English Studies from December 2019. The course aspirants should appear for the Humanities and Social Sciences Entrance Examination (HSEE ) to be held on 19th of April 2020.


The students who have passed their Plus two or equivalent course and those who are to appear for their final exam can apply for the entrance exam. But they should get 60% of aggregate marks in the qualifying exam. Candidates born on or after 01/10/1995 only need apply whereas 55% of marks is sufficient for SC, ST and PwD candidates along with 5 years age relaxation.

How to Apply

Submission of online application and fee payment can be done from 11th of December 2019 to 22nd of January 2020. The last date for fee payment by Indian bank Challan mode is 23rd of January 2020. Checking of application status starts from 17th of February. The applicants can download their admit card from 18th of March 2020.

Exam Pattern & Syllabus for HSEE 2020

The exam is of two parts. Part I consists of English, Analytical and Quantitative Ability and General Studies. 25% questions would be in English to test the reading / comprehension skills, knowledge of grammar and vocabulary. Other 25% of questions would be from areas like Number, Algebra, time, Basic Statistics, sums, equations, profit & loss, data interpretation and Analytical reasoning. The major part of the questions ie 50% is from General studies like Indian economy, natural & human resources, economic problems, growth & development, foreign & international trade, world affairs , agriculture and technological changes etc. Details available in the below links.

Examination Schedule

Humanities and Social Sciences Entrance Exam (HSEE ) is scheduled to be conducted on Sunday 19th of April, 2020. The exam will be conducted in the major cities in India including Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram. The expected date of results publication is May 15, 2020. The selected candidates can download their offer letter from the institution from the next day of its result publication.

NDA: Join Defence Service Be a proud Citizen

National Defence Academy, one of the world premier institutes for imparting combined training to officer cadets of the Army, the Navy and the Airforce invites applications for becoming Commissioned officers. Scientific training for it is given in Khadskwasala, Pune and for NDA at Ezhimala Naval Academy, Kannoor.

Of the total 393 seats, 208 seats are for the Army, 42 for the Navy, 92 for the Air Force and 50 for NDA in Ezhimala.

Age and Qualification

Boys studying in Plus two classes or having equivalent qualification can apply for it. They should have studied Maths and Physics at the Plus Two level. They should have born between 2000 July 2nd and 2003 July 1st. It is essential that the candidates appearing for the same should be physically and mentally fit and the medical exam for the same would be conducted in the last round.


The selection will be based on the performance in the written test in UPSC and SSB would call for interview as per that rank list .

Exam date and Venue

The exam will be conducted on 21st of April 2019. February 4th 2019 is the last date to apply. Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi will be exam centres in Kerala. 

NDA Question Pattern

There would be two papers of objective type questions of 2 and 30 min. duration. Of the total 900 marks, Maths subject will be of 300 marks and General Ability of 600 marks. There would be one negative mark for each wrong answer. It is 900 marks for interview for in SSB for selction cadre. Mathematical tables and calculator will not be allowed in the examination hall.

Training and Scholarships

An introductory training would be given in NDA from 2nd January 2020. After ' passing out ', Army, Air force, Naval force candidates would be provided with special training in centres concerned. After one year of training, they will be commissioned permanently in Lieutenant rank in Army. In Navy, after one year training in Ezhimala, they can become Sub–Lieutenant. In Air Force, training for flying will be there for one year before getting commissioned as Flying officers. Those who are getting selection for Naval Academy would be imparted with 4 year training in Ezhimala. Candidates selected for Army would get B.Sc/B.A degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University and B.Tech for Navy and Air force. Different scholarships are also available for them.

NEST for Admission to 5 Year Integrated M.Sc.Programme

Applications are invited for admission test, National Entrance Screening Test 2019(NEST) for 5 year integrated M.Sc. programme in National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar, University of Mumbai and Department of Atomic Energy, Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE-CEBS) Mumbai.


It is an online/computer based test for admission in M.Sc programme in Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Students studying in Plus two course in regular Science Stream (Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Biology combination) and to appear for board exam in 2019 or passed the exam in 2017 or 2018 can apply for it. Applicants must have scored minimum 60% of marks or equivalent grade. For SC & ST category and Persons with disability 55% is sufficient. General, OBC candidates born on or after August 1st 1999 are eligible to apply. SC & ST, Persons with disability will get 5 years age relaxation.

Exam Pattern

The admission test is conducted to test the subject competencies, analytical ability, interpretation of graphical data, grasp of mathematics, comprehensive, qualitative and quantitative aspects of scientific passages etc. There would be five sections of objective type questions. The first one is general section of 30 marks. Section 2 to 5 would be for 50 marks each from subjects. The merit list will be prepared according to the score obtained in general section and best 3 subject sections ( sec. 2-5 ). A mock test link will be made available 2 weeks before the exam date.

NEST 2019 Schedule & Fee

Online applications for admission test can be submitted from 7th January 2019 to 11th March. General and OBC students will have to pay fee Rs.1200/- and for SC, ST, PwD and all female applicants, it would be Rs.600/- only. Exam will be conducted in the major towns or cities on 1st June 2019. Admit card can be downloaded from online application portal from 24th of April 2019. The first session of the exam is from 9 a.m to 12.30 noon and the second session from 2.30 p.m to 6 p.m


The students getting admission to this course would also get the privilege of becoming eligible for scholarship of Rs.60,000/- and also grant of Rs.20,000/- per annum for Summer internship. AIIMS MBBS-Registration, Exam, Syllabus,Result

All India Institute of Medical Sciences has invited online applications for AIMS MBBS entrance examination. From this year exam in 2019, Prospective Applicants Advanced Registration (PAAR) has been started. The step has been initiated with the view of avoiding improper filling of applications and confirming accepted applications. This facility enables the applicants to make corrections and confirm it as it is a two stage registration process.

Basic Registration

The first stage is Basic Registration. It is an enduring process where the students who are appearing or have appeared for exam can apply online. The applicants will be informed whether their application is accepted or not and the accepted will be provided with a Unique Identification Number for further procedure. The rejected applicants will become ineligible. Since this procedure starts 6 months well in advance, certain details that can't be entered early can be added at the time of second stage of registration process. The details once entered during Basic Registration process would be stored.This Basic Registration is completely free of cost.

Final Stage of Registration

The second stage is Final stage of Registration. This specific stage provides a chance to complete data information like choosing exam centre, payment of fee etc. Already given data in Basic Registration need not be repeated here.

The applicants after doing Basic Registration can decide whether they should appear for this year exam or not. If they are not willing to appear, they need not go for the next stage which can be done later as final registration details entry for subsequent entrance exam is made every time. The applicants whose applications are complete in all respects and accepted at Basic Stage only will be permitted to make Final Registration.

Qualification for Basic Registration 

Plus Two passed/appeared/appearing or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects.

Course Eligibility

An aggregate of 60% of marks . For SC & ST 50% of marks, for OPH 45% of marks in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology in Plus Two exam and should fulfill other eligibility criteria as required in online Basic Registration.

Silverbullet: State level Free Model Entrance Exam

Silverbullet, an online portal of The Mathrubhumi is conducting a model entrance exam for the 12th Standard students(State,CBSE,ICSE) and repeaters. It is provided completely free of cost. The KEAM and NEET exam model is followed in the conduct of this exam.

Method of exam
The engineering entrance examination will be conducted in such a way as that of KEAM (Kerala Engg). There would be 2 question papers. The first one would comprise of 72 questions from Physics and 48 from Chemistry. The second paper would carry 120 questions from Mathematics subject. Each paper is of 2 ½ hour duration.

NEET ( Medical entrance ) model is adopted in the medical entrance exam. There would be one paper only. Questions from Physics. Chemistry, Botany and Zoology can be found. 45 questions will be there from each subject. The exam duration is 3 hours.

Date of exam

The students can appear for this free model entrance exam at any time and on any day between 1st and 31st of December 2018 with a personal computer or laptop or tablet or smart phone. As it is an online exam, an internet connection is required.

The results of the exam will be declared after 15th of January 2019. The score obtained in each subject and all Kerala ranking will be published along with the results. Hence , it would be helpful for the students to know their merits and defects so as to make their exam preparation more healthier and fruitful one.

There is no doubt that, this is a good opportunity for the students who are to appear for the entrance exam and for those who don’t have any special coaching.
