  4. Where do to include contribution to NPS u/s 80CCD (1) while entering data?I cannot find any column for the same in the data entry field.

    Contributions to the Atal Pension Yojana (APY) will now be eligible for the same tax benefits as the National Pension System (NPS), according to a circular released by the Income Tax department. The tax benefits include the additional deduction of Rs 50,000 under section 80CCD(1) introduced in last year's Budget.
    You can include contribution to APY in box where NPS contributions (other than salary deduction)is to be entered.
    The entry location may vary, depend on the software you choosed

  9. whether tax amount payable should rounded to nearest multiple of 10

  10. NPS contribution by employer is to be added with salary as PERQUISITES, then it can be deducted from salary under section 80 CCD (2) subject to maximum 10 % of salary( PA + DA)

  12. Balance tax paid should be round off to nearest multiple of 10. this is not enabled in the software. kindly check this.

    1. There is difference between tax and TDS. Tax should be round off to the nearest multiples of ten. But TDS should not, if you rounded TDS then this may cause short payment.

    Thank you for the information. But you have to specify the name/ cretor of software you are using. If it is ECTAX-2017, both the rounded value and value before rounding is shown. If you are in confusion, pls call 9947009559

  14. It is not possible to import from old version in Easy Tax by Al Rehiman sir. Please reply

  15. One teacher who was appointed on 28/12/2012 got approval as on 28/07/2016. So she got all salary as arrear on 9/2016. she paid an income tax of Rs.15174 after the tax relief.Now she got an intimation letter u/s 143(1) showing that interest of Rs.31015( 15430+15585) is paid under section 234B & 234C . What is the solution to solve the problem.
